Custom Apparel for a Daily Dose of Inspiration
As someone who has suffered with anxiety, I always looked for inspirational quotes to give me a boost throughout the day. In high school I took a big, bold sharpie and wrote a ton of inspirational quotes all over the walls in my room. I was looking for something to inspire a more positive outlook. Since COVID hit, my anxiety has increased like so many others. I found myself back at my parents house figuring out a new normal with the uncertainty of work and the uncertainty of daily life as we know it. There I was back in my old room with all of the inspirational quotes still up covering my beautiful blue walls. It was great to look back at them and see how they helped along the way. I started thinking about how to get a quick fix of inspiration when quarantine is over. A way to give myself a boost that could stay with me all day. I knew I was done with the writing on wall phase. Then it hit me. I've always been into fashion and apparel. I've always needed to find that extra inspiration to get me going. So I thought, clothing with a personal quote that directly hits home. Now, I've seen it before where the quote would be on the outside of the shirt, but I feel like that is more for the viewer, not the wearer. Having the quote on the inside of the apparel is for you. The person wearing it. You see it when you put it on every morning, and it stays with you throughout the day. Your own personal quote that brings you comfort and peace. A lot easier than tearing my walls down and carrying that with me all day. So, I decided to make a tee shirt and try it out myself. I woke up the next morning, and as I put the shirt on I saw my quote and smiled. Ready for the day. Throughout the day whenever I needed a little boost I just took a quick look at my quote, smiled, and was reminded that I can do anything. So, I welcome you to join me.
